We all know the experience of seeing a flower tightly closed in the morning and by afternoon wide open with its full beauty on display. Several years ago I scratched out a poem about my daughter as I was noticing that she was growing up in front of my eyes. I compared her to a flower which can never be forced open, but must unfurl on its own. And though flowers can't be rushed or forced, it's a marvel that they also seem to open suddenly. What are you hoping to see unfurl in your life? While it seems slow, I have no doubt that once it opens you will wonder when and how it actually took place. Take courage and hope!
